New £7m Oldham Hindu temple officially opens
The UK's newest Hindu temple has opened in a Greater Manchester town.
The £7m Shree Swaminarayan Mandir in Oldham, which features an entranced gate hand-carved in marble imported from India, opened this week.
Construction began in 2019 after the local community raised the funds needed and volunteers gave up their time to help with the build.
