Deep Purple founder Jon Lord wanted to be actor

Deep Purple keyboard player and founder Jon Lord played the Duchess of York in a school production of Richard III, his friend Rick Wakeman has discovered.

A year after Lord's death, Wakeman visited his home city of Leicester and discovered that Lord originally wanted to be an actor.
