Second Christmas tree design prompts new ridicule

A city's second attempt to decorate its Christmas tree has faced new ridicule, with people calling it "a joke".

Last week people criticised Leicester's "half-finished" tree which the city council explained had struggled with "heavy tinsel".

But the new version, revealed at Thursday's switch on, has been described as "embarrassing for Leicester".
