How Tattershall Castle in Lincolnshire helped save UK heritage

One hundred years ago a Lincolnshire castle was saved from ruin in a move that led to better protection for historic buildings and monuments across the UK.

Tattershall Castle, which is now owned by the National Trust, owed its salvation to Lord Curzon, the former Viceroy of India and the man who restored the Taj Mahal.
