Double route option for Crossrail 2

Two potential routes for rail service Crossrail 2 in London have been put forward for the public to consider.

Crossrail 2 would link south west and north east London, and reduce congestion on current underground and some over ground services.

The two routes put forward include the Metro, from Wimbledon to Alexandra Palace, or the Regional from Alexandra Palace and Hertford East to south-west London and Surrey.

BBC London's Transport Correspondent, Tom Edwards, spoke to Mayor of London Boris Johnson, Lord Adonis and Baroness Valentine from London First, David Higgins from Network Rail and Sir Peter Hendy from Transport for London.
