Campaign to save Porcupine pub

People in part of south east London are battling against a supermarket chain to save their local pub.

Residents in Mottingham want to save The Porcupine which is due to be knocked down to make way for Lidl.

In a statement, Lidl said: "This proposal has been met with both support and opposition and we hope to be able to deliver a new supermarket, which will bring jobs and investment to an area which has shown demand for the proposal."

BBC London's Emma North spoke to campaigner David Bingley, pubs minister Brandon Lewis and Steven Nelson from the South East London Chamber of Commerce.
