Mayor Boris Johnson tells opponent to 'get stuffed'

Mayor of London Boris Johnson has told his London Assembly opponent to "get stuffed" during a debate about fire cuts.

The mayor made the comment after Andrew Dismore, the Labour assembly member, accused him of "lying to the people of London" after he had asked the mayor to justify his decision to close 10 fire stations and cut 552 firefighters' posts.

London Fire Brigade's governing body had narrowly voted to reject the plans, which would save £28.8m.

However, the mayor has the final say and had previously ruled to go ahead with the plans.
