Can London cope with Crossrail impact?

Questions have been raised over how central London will cope with the influx of people which Crossrail will bring into the area.

A study was commissioned to look at what impact Crossrail will have.

Alexander Jan from Arup, the consultancy firm which carried out the survey, said Farringdon, Bond Street and Tottenham Court Road stations could be handling 250 million people a year by 2026. Currently 85 million travel through those stations.
