Battersea Power Station Malaysia Square plan unveiled

The public space at the heart of the Battersea Power Station development is to be called Malaysia Square, it has been revealed in Kuala Lumpur.

As Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak praised Boris Johnson's "boundless enthusiasm" for the project, the London mayor said 60% of the latest homes to go on sale had gone to UK-passport holders.

Questioned over how affordable the properties are for Londoners, Tan Sri Liew of Battersea Project Holding Company, said: "That becomes a national policy, not a developer policy.

"We can only play by the rules set by you all."

BBC London Political Editor Tim Donovan reports from Malaysia.
