Croydon University Hospital 'like a war zone'

Croydon University Hospital in south London declared an "internal major incident" which lasted several hours because of pressures on its A&E.

Pneumonia patient Rita England had to wait seven hours to see a doctor.

Her husband Stephen, a former paramedic, described the department as a "warzone".
