Rise in dangerous dogs at Battersea home being destroyed

The number of dogs that have had to be put down because of aggressive and dangerous behaviour has risen sharply, according to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

The home says it has seen an increase in banned breeds and dogs with behavioural problems being brought in.

Experts believe it is particularly a problem in London where people buy the animals to boost their status but find that they cannot handle them.
