Bodycam footage from illegal Brixton party released

Bodycam footage shot by Met Police officers as they tried to break up an illegal street party in south London has been released.

Twenty-two police officers were injured as they tried to disperse crowds from the unlicensed music event (UME) on the Angel Town Estate in Brixton in the early hours of 25 June.

Scotland Yard said they had received information about more than 530 events since then and were "responding to approximately 23 UMEs every day".

The force have called the parties "dangerous and highly disruptive for local communities" and said those attending them "are putting themselves at risk".
