Manchester Airport challenges rival

Manchester Airport has launched a poster campaign in Merseyside and Warrington to attract passengers away from its rival airport in Liverpool.

The airport is hoping to attract passengers from the area to use the airport for short-haul flights and is advertising itself as the low-cost airport of the north.

Robin Tudor, from Liverpool John Lennon Airport, said: "To be honest we're quite flattered by the whole thing."
