Charity Hope For Justice helps trafficking victims

Manchester charity Hope For Justice has warned about the spread of human trafficking in the North West.

Staff said they had rescued 142 victims of modern slavery in the last two years and more needed to be done to tackle a growing crime.

Last year, Ilyas and Tallat Ashar, from Salford, were jailed for trafficking a 10-year-old girl into the country from Pakistan and keeping her as a slave in a cellar for nearly a decade.
