UK's 'loneliest dog' stars in new Transformers film

"Britain's loneliest dog" has been transformed into a film star after being given a part in Transformers: The Last Knight.

Freya finally found a new home in July after spending her first six years at Freshfields Animal Rescue centre in Liverpool and has filmed scenes for the sci-fi film.

The Staffordshire bull terrier, which has epilepsy, was cared for at the centre after she was found as a six-week-old puppy.

An appeal to rehome Freya, described as Britain's loneliest dog, caught the eye of dog-loving film director Michael Bay.

Freya was adopted by Ray and Jackie Collins, from Cheadle Hulme, Greater Manchester.
