Tate Liverpool: Jackson Pollock exhibition opens
A exhibition of the largest collection of work from Jackson Pollock's "black pourings", external period has opened at Tate Liverpool.
The show, which runs until 18 October, celebrates a lesser known part of the master painter's output from 1951 to 1953.
These works refined the process for which he became well known, where he created works by dripping and throwing paint onto a canvas.
It is the first exhibition of the artist's work in the North West.
