Leeds & Liverpool Canal bicentenary marked with rhapsody
When it was built 200 years ago the Leeds and Liverpool canal was an industrial artery that helped power the industrial revolution.
It links the cities of Liverpool and Leeds and - at 127 miles (204 km) - is the longest canal in the UK built as a single waterway.
To mark its bicentenary a special rhapsody has been created to mark the anniversary of its opening.
