Abuse victim PC Darren Kenny speaks of his ordeal
A police officer who thought his childhood abuser was dead before he found online has urged other victims of abuse to speak out.
John Stevenson Wright, 68, was sentenced to 18 months for sexually abusing Greater Manchester Police officer Darren Kenny, 50.
Manchester Crown Court heard the offences took place when Wright worked at a pub run by Mr Kenny's parents in Rochdale.
Mr Kenny has waived his right to anonymity to encourage other abuse victims to come forward and spoke of how the abuse he suffered as a teenager had affected him as a parent.
