Coronavirus: 'Idiots' gather in Liverpool on eve of new Covid rules

Police were forced to disperse large crowds in Liverpool on the eve of new coronavirus restrictions coming into force.

The city's mayor Joe Anderson said they brought "shame on our city" while city councillor Nick Small described those who gathered as "idiots".
