Novelist Rose Tremain to become UEA chancellor

The award-winning novelist Rose Tremain is to become the new chancellor of the University of East Anglia.

Ms Tremain, 69, is the first writer, the first woman and the first UEA graduate to take on the role.

She told BBC Look East's Susie Fowler-Watt she was "honoured and moved" at the invitation.
