Cromer Boxing Day dip 'one of the best ever'

About 1,000 people took part in an annual festive charity dip off the Norfolk coast making it "one of the best ever", say organisers.

The Cromer Dip, which started in 1985 as a "bit of a dare", has been a firm fixture in the seaside town's festive calendar ever since - only taking a break due to the Covid pandemic.

The fancy dress event, which holds a bucket collection, has raised tens of thousands of pounds for local good causes and is this year supporting the Cromer Community and Hospital Friends.

"It's a huge thank you, we couldn't do it without every one here... it was incredible and one of the best dips I've ever remembered," event organiser Clive Hedges said.
