Robot organ plays a tune at Northamptonshire indoor fairground

Archive footage from 1983 showed a device dubbed the "world's largest robot organ" playing a tune at an indoor fairground.

The attraction, housed at Turner's Musical Merry-go-round in Northamptonshire, featured a 105-key organ and robots that mimed along to the music.

The fair, at Wooton, opened in 1983 and was home to a variety of musical and fairground antiquities, including a carousel and Wurlitzer organs.

Owner Nigel Turner said the robots were always popular: "Usually that one will get a round of applause at the end."
