Nottingham council housing: Tower blocks go in 400-home plan

Tower blocks in Nottingham are being demolished to make way for the building of 400 new council houses over the next four years.

Chief executive of Nottingham City Homes, Nick Murphy said it was a "more sensible option" to knock them down as the council weighed out the cost of maintenance with the views of tenants who lived there.
