Nottingham hit-and-run cyclist speaks of 'injustice'
A cyclist who captured a video of a car accelerating and hitting him feels there has been an injustice after police said there was not enough evidence to prosecute the driver.
Nottinghamshire Police said it cannot prove who was driving the hire vehicle.
Instead, a man who was eligible to drive the car has been fined £150 for failing to provide driver details.
The incident happened on 15 November 2014 but the victim has now posted the video online, external to highlight the dangers that cyclists face.
The cyclist, who goes by the username Reginald Scott on YouTube, feels the police and Crown Prosecution Service could have done more.
Nottinghamshire Police said it had investigated the incident thoroughly, and shared the victim's disappointment at the outcome.
