Senior Oxford teachers could get help with mortgages

Senior teachers could be given help to pay their mortgage if they take up a job offer in Oxford.

The city council has said it is struggling to recruit mainly head teachers because of high house prices in the area.

The council plans to provide loans to encourage more people to apply for senior roles.

The maximum a senior teacher could borrow is £75,000.
