Salmon leaping Shrewsbury weir hits dry land

A salmon trying to jump over the weir in Shrewsbury had an unlucky encounter with dry land.

Shoals of fish are taking the leap of faith in a bid to move up the River Severn to spawn.

BBC Radio Shropshire reporter Richard Tisdale captured the moment at one of the top spots in Shropshire and saw the salmon making a splash.
