Severn Valley Railway: Remembering 2007 flood disaster
A heritage railway is remembering a devastating storm that struck 10 years ago.
The Severn Valley Railway, which runs between Bridgnorth in Shropshire and Kidderminster in Worcestershire, was hit by a freak thunderstorm on 19 June, 2007.
The 16-mile line was closed for nearly a year, while the bill to repair the storm damage was just under £4m.
Now an exhibition looking at the chaos caused by the torrential rain and the fight to reopen the railway has opened at Highley station.
