Crumbling Birnbeck Pier renovation plan in pipeline

The owner of a crumbling Somerset pier has said he hopes to present ideas to renovate the structure in a matter of weeks.

Birnbeck Pier in Weston-super-Mare, which closed to the public in 1994 and is on the Buildings at Risk register, sustained further damage in heavy storms at the weekend.
