Residents' outrage after tree felling in Sheffield

Trouble flared after several trees were controversially felled by contractors working for Sheffield City Council.

The trees on Rustlings Road were cut down in the early hours of Thursday.

They were due to be felled as part of the council's £2bn road improvement scheme, but local residents said there was no need to lose the trees.

Three people have been arrested on suspicion of preventing lawful work.
