BBC Children in Need helps fund asylum support group
A support group in Stoke-on-Trent which helps families seeking asylum has received funding from BBC Children in Need.
Asha, which is based in Hanley, encourages the people it helps to become volunteers and co-workers at the project.
In the run-up to 17 November's annual BBC Children in Need event, BBC Midlands Today's Rebecca Wood visited Asha, which assists people from 50 countries.
The organisation says it helps to feed and clothe about 600 people every week, and currently has 2,500 asylum seekers on its books.
