Higher costs of country living in the south east
Figures from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation show that the average cost of living for families in the countryside last year was £80 a week more than for those in urban areas.
The increased costs are often due to higher energy bills and transport costs.
For many young people living in the countryside the cost and availability of public transport makes it very difficult to find a job.
Tim Dinnage, 17, was only able to find a job because a local charity drives him to work.
