Newcastle's Turkish Baths and City Pool close

A Turkish Baths in the heart of Newcastle is closing despite a petition to save it by campaigners.

Newcastle Turkish Baths on Northumberland Road opened in 1928 and is one of only 11 Victorian Turkish baths in England.

But both the baths and the City Pool are closing on Thursday due to Newcastle City Council's £100m budget cuts.
