Chief Executive: Health system "reacted well" to A&E situation
The chief executive of the Health and Social Care Board has said that the health system "reacted well" to the situation at the Royal Victoria Hospital on Wednesday night.
Staff declared a "major incident" at Belfast's Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH) on Wednesday, due to a large backlog of patients at the A&E department.
