DUP leader Peter Robinson steps aside as first minister

DUP leader Peter Robinson says he is standing aside as First Minister and other party ministers will resign with immediate effect.

He said that Arlene Foster will remain in position as finance minister and acting first minister to ensure "nationalists and republicans are not able to take financial and other decisions that may be detrimental to Northern Ireland."
