Clegg: 'The chemistry's good'

Asked by Andrew Marr about his relationship with David Cameron, Nick Clegg said "of course the chemistry's good, but it's a chemistry based on an insight" about the problems the UK is facing.

When talking about the economy, the Deputy Prime Minister told Andrew Marr that they had accelerated the timetable of cuts because it wasn't right "to ask future generations to start to continue to pay off the debt interest payments on the debt that we have racked up".

Nick Clegg has also announced plans to "go after people who are putting their taxes into offshore havens". He said they wanted to be "as hard on tax cheats as they are on benefit cheats" and close loopholes that allow "morally questionable" tax avoidance.
