Europe Minister David Liddington explains why there are no immediate plans for a referendum in the UK on European powers, despite calls from Tory backbenchers.

These have been renewed as David Cameron urges several European leaders to reject a big rise in the EU budget.

But backbencher Douglas Carswell is not impressed with the stance of the minister from his party.
