Iain Duncan Smith's pledge to 'lift a million out of poverty'
The government is due to publish details of what it is describing as the biggest shake-up of the welfare system for 60 years.
The Welfare Reform Bill includes plans to combine all work-related benefits into a single universal credit.
There will also be a review into ways of curbing the growing numbers of people who are giving up work to claim sickness benefits.
Work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith said the measures will lift just under one million people out of poverty.
