Cameron asked at PMQs: will police numbers rise or fall?

David Cameron was asked several times by Ed Miliband about whether police numbers will fall after cuts to funding.

The Labour leader claimed people would not understand Mr Cameron's answers. The exchanges came after the chief inspector of constabulary published a report warning that forces would struggle to implement cuts without losing "front line" officers.
