English universities line up to charge top fee of £9,000

Several English universities have declared they intend to charge students the full £9,000 a year from next year, despite the government's desired figure of £6,000.

Susana Mendonça visited Essex University - who would like to charge the full £9,000 - to find out why, and what students think of this.

She spoke to Prof Colin Riordan from the University of Essex and Sally Hunt, general secretary of the University and College Union.
