Stephen Dorrell signals scaled back NHS reforms

Former Conservative health secretary, Stephen Dorrell, suggests the government's reforms to the NHS in England will not give GPs exclusive control over local budgets as planned, but will still give GPs more say.

Liberal Democrats Health spokesperson John Pugh said money could be saved by slimming down existing Primary Care Trusts and adding GPs to their boards.
