TUC conference: Brendan Barber on strikes and union support

The TUC general secretary claims unions enjoy "broad-based public support" as an autumn of possible strikes loom over public sector cuts and pension reforms.

He was asked why he appeared to change his mind after previously claiming a programme of civil disobedience would be "counter productive" when he spoke to Andrew Neil from the TUC conference in London.
