Conservative asks Labour MP why he is not in Parliament

Conservative MP Roger Gale turned on Labour MP John Mann wanting to know why he was not in the House of Commons on Thursday when they appeared on the Daily Politics to discuss a survey about the public's view of Parliament.

But the Labour MP hit back saying he was dealing with an issue about care homes in the area before attending a public meeting as part of a "full day of campaign activity".

Former MEP Robert Kilroy-Silk said the jibe was one of the reasons that people had a low opinion of MPs.
