Ed Balls on strike: 'It should have been sorted out'
Public sector workers have begun a 24-hour strike over changes to their pensions.
Unions say around two million workers are taking part in the action, causing disruption to public transport, hospitals, courts and council services.
Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls said it was ''ridiculous'' that the dispute had not been sorted out by the government.
He added that the pension changes were affecting some of the lowest paid workers in the UK.
