EU veto: David Cameron heckled over Nick Clegg's absence

Prime Minister David Cameron has explained, in the House of Commons, his reasons for vetoing new rules on European finance.

Mr Cameron told MPs that he wanted "safeguards" from other European countries that would protect the British financial sector, but they were not forthcoming.

His statement was interrupted by heckling about the absence of Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg.
