Welfare reform debate: Byrne, Redwood, Soubry, Grayling

Plans for welfare reform saw the government win the day with a number of concessions as MPs overturned a series of Lords defeats.

The £26,000 annual limit on total household benefits was reinstated, despite the amendments made by peers.

Speakers in the debate included Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary Liam Byrne, Conservative MPs John Redwood and Anna Soubry, and the Work and Pensions Minister Chris Grayling.
