Women MPs debate: Nadine Dorries and Nia Griffith

Conservative MP Nadine Dorries said the hours of Parliament and the level of constituency work meant it was not an easy choice for mothers without a rich husband to become MPs.

She was debating with Labour MP Nia Griffith and investment fund manager Nicola Horlick on why some people believe women struggle to make it in the world of politics and business.

Women make up 22% of the MPs in the House of Commons.

They spoke after Jo Coburn's film looking at a comparison between a Danish TV drama and life at Westminster for women.
