Budget 2012: Andrew Lilico on 'granny tax' effect
Andrew Lilico from the Institute of Economic Affairs said it was a mistake for the chancellor to hide away changes affecting older people but the real effect of the "granny tax" had been "very exaggerated".
He said the rise in personal tax allowances would be the main memory of the 2012 Budget.
