David Willets defends 'socialist' Vince Cable

Criticism of Business Secretary Vince Cable as a "socialist" by Conservative party advisor Adrian Beecroft has been dismissed by David Willetts who works for him at the Department of Business Innovation and Skills.

A report by Adrian Beecroft for the Conservatives said the government was being "hugely held back by the Liberal Democrats" from employment reform but the Science and Universities minister said while the two parties don't agree on every issue, there was "no alternative but to work together"
