David Cameron: Europe's finances must be stabilised

David Cameron has insisted Europe's first priority must be to stabilise the financial situation in the region.

Before leaving Oslo during a trip to Norway, the prime minister said once measures for stability were in place, Europe needs structural reforms "to increase long term growth".

He said Europe has to show the world it can pay its way through credible deficit reduction plans.

Mr Cameron is due to arrive in Germany for a meeting with Chancellor Angela Merkel.
