Jeremy Browne on House of Lords reform and coalition

Foreign Office Minister Jeremy Browne said there had to be "give and take" in the coalition, and one party could not "pick and choose" which part of the agreement to support.

He spoke after plans for House of Lords reforms were opposed by Conservative rebels - and there is talk of a bigger rebellion when it goes back before MPs after summer recess.

Mr Browne said "some Conservative backbenchers behave as if they did win the general election" - as he spoke about agreements on both parties supporting elected police commissioners and changes to Parliamentary boundaries.
